"The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! "We used this cute little cottage as a stop off on the way to Scotland. Loved the views from the garden and having breakfast on the terrace while watching the sheep with their lambs. Close enough to Keswick for amenities but far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet."

"Wow wow wow, we absolutely loved this little find, 'The Stable' is a beautiful place to stay, the surroundings are stunning, the accomodation is clean, beautifully furnished, excellently equipped and the host was lovely. The road leading up to the property is a bit of a bumpy one with a few potholes but the hosts prepare you for that in the well informed directions to the property. We will DEFINITELY be returning again next year, just perfect."
