"On arrival reception was efficient but not overly friendly. We had a pleasant room overlooking the well kept golf course. Cleanliness in the room was good but a little extra attention in the bathroom needed; dirt around plughole, shower hinges and darkened grout around the bath. Food and service was very good. We had been advised the day before that due to a technical fault the swimming pool was closed, but were given a bottle of wine and free access to the thermal spa which was very generous....

There's even a sign up saying "No laptops" in the restaurant area. So Working during the day means sitting in the cafe or room. Shame not to have some quiet areas to work from. "Shopping village nearby is very convenient. Staff were very helpful. Walls are very thin, can hear people up and down the corridors and vehicles early morning, the room was very warm but bed was comfy, pool facilities were good. "

"Absolutely lovely. We were upgraded to a suite. The room was huge spotlessly clean and kept well. Complimentary minibar was a nice surprise and it was great having both shower and bath. Breakfast had an excellent choice and was generally good quality. The full English was ok but not the best but on second had excellent other choices. Service throughout was excellent."

"Fabulous, our room 402 had a huge balcony with views over the estuary and of the pier. Staff were very friendly and attentive, evening meal of sharing steak was cooked exactly as we like it and breakfast was also very nice, highly recommend the full English for the hungry or sausage muffin. The location is also great, up on the cliff away from the noise but only a short walk to the lift and no more than 5 minutes walk to the pier. "This was a last minute booking literally made in the morning. Hotel is beautiful. Staff so helpful and friendly. Food was 1st class. I'm not usually one for leaving reviews but thought that this hotel deserved one!"
