"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"Great location in the heart of Grasmere. Easy parking. Good breakfast. Lovely new bathroom. The room itself and the restaurant and reception areas could do with a bit of an update which would make it fabulous. Maybe removing some carpets and having wooden floors would help. "

"This hotel was like a dream! Every single piece and furniture was nicely picked and decorated. Staffs were awesome and super friendly! The view was mesmerizing. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and they were both great. There were a few cute little towns around the hotel with good food options and scenic views. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel!"
