"overall the building was lovely reception stunning staff efficient room was lovely absolutely sufficient quiet setting in a village room iron and board trouser press fan safe and small fridge which was a god send we didn’t use the pool or sauna lots of building work going on all around. 3 complaints my daughter paid extra for a bigger bed the bases were separate as were the mattresses nothing to hold them together so kept coming apart thru the night sheets didn’t fit the bed properly soon as you...

"Clean, comfortable and modern rooms. There was a function on when we stayed but we were not disturbed. The bar/lobby was nice and we had a good meal in the restaurant. As they were full we were given an accessible room, which was ok, but it was difficult to stand freely in the shower with the seating equipment. The floor of the bathroom was also constantly wet as this was a wet room and with 4 people showering, brushing teeth, going to the loo etc., it was a bit of a faff and a recipe for wet...

"It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee."

"It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :) "

"We booked 2 rooms, due to a late finish at work. Would have been better to return home at 2 am in the morning. Noisy guests on and off until 3am, which you can get at any hotels, but the rooms do not insulate from the noise. I asked if there was a night porter to help manage noisy guests the next morning to be told yes. I asked could they not walk around the buildings to manage nuisance guests. I was told in the night porters defence he may not have heard them, which I highlighted was clearly...
