"I absolutely adored my stay here. The house is beautifully nestled at the top.of the Waitakeres, with a magnificent view of Auckland city. The house itself had a lovely welcoming feel. The owners have taken the time to style the property with a gorgeous collection of antique furniture. I must admit, i was deeply envious of the curtains. The spa was perfect for soaking and napping. The property was very clwan and the owner was an excellent and prompt communicator. I hope to stay again."

"We had a great stay at this lovely property. There was an initial hiccup with access as the gate latch was broken but this was quickly sorted by the manager. The second bedroom is tight for space but functional."

"We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The space was exactly as described, very spacious and cozy. The owners were kind and helpful, the TV was playing up and wouldn’t connect to the internet and they tried their best to get it working. The only things that need to be noted are that because the property has a septic tank the toilet struggles to flush properly and fills up really high with water before it goes back down and need a double flush, and when we first walked into the bathroom there...

"The stunning factor is the view from the lounge and kitchen area. The rooms are large and spacious, even with family members theres still room to have your own space. "Very clean and comfortable. Good bed and shower. Plenty of good quality linen. For a longer stay clothes storage might be an issue as most of the wardrobe (could do with more hangers), bedside tables and chest of drawers were taken up with the owner's personal belongings. Our stay was 2 weeks so we kept our suitcases open on the bed in the other bedroom (which is not included in the let). "This is a great spot for a group holiday stay. It is close to multiple beaches (but I would recommend driving rather than walking to them). The house has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Jason is a very responsive and kind host."

"This place could be amazing based on its location and layout, but unfortunately it needs some love and attention. The worst feature is by far the bathroom which is utilitarian at best, plus it actually doubles as the washing utility area. There are little things like screw holes in the walls and cheap hooks for hanging clothes which really detract from could be an amazing property. "We absolutely loved our stay as a volleyball team at the grand retreat and could not have asked for better accommodation. It is super flash, spacious, plenty of bathrooms and sleeping options, quiet location and perfect to access the motorway, beach and sports stadium on the Northshore. It offered amazing options for our girls to keep busy playing basketball, enjoying the spa and sauna, singing karaoke, watching movies and all sitting around to share meals and play card games. "Property is what we needed during our 2 night stay in Auckland, it was tidy and clean. The pictures made it look like it was its own house, but it is situated on the bottom floor of the main house towards the back. Good communication with the property manager. Would recommend"
