"Stay was to relax and overall good, however if the hotel wants to move up a notch they need to address lots of little things. Bar - did not really feel comfy as seats were more for a restaurant. The bartender was attentive & friendly but instead of cleaning the bar & tables when it was quiet, he was smoking and on his phone. Not great when some of the tables were dirty. Breakfast - location was fine however cleanliness/ tidiness could be improved on alot. Stains and crumbs on table cloths is...

"Bar prices were a bit confusing different prices for same drink for members of our group.Helpful staff when asked of i could change rooms.Felt a little hurried at evening meals but waiting on staff did an excellent job ."

"Lovely building and location - out of the busy but not too far! Nicely decorated and furnished albeit it does feel like a walk if you’re in one of the 400+ numbered rooms! Ate in the brasserie one evening food was good but the battered fish, whilst plentiful, was maybe a bit “soggy”. The breakfasts were excellent and if you don’t see anything you like then maybe best stay at home! Room was huge as was the comfy bed. A lot of new staff learning the ropes ahead of the peak season but can’t fault...
