"We spent Thurs-Mon in Jane and Malcolm’s lovely cottage. The location is incredible and we were blessed with some fantastic weather! The cottage had everything we needed. The sheep and chickens outside are brilliant and our little one had so much fun watching them. Our dog has been on some incredible walks in the woods on the doorstep and at some of the tourist areas nearby. We’ve had such an amazing stay and can’t that Jane enough for being a wonderful host! "The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. Beautiful location completely spoilt by the classic/abandoned cars in the front garden making it unsafe for children and dogs. Field next door is similarly blighted. This spot is a blot on the otherwise beautiful scenery. 2 cookers both in need of deep and thorough clean. 1 grill and 1 oven not working. Fridges and surfaces clean. "Had an enjoyable short break at the Maple Lodge. Hosts were very friendly including the cats and dogs. Lodge was cozy, clean and had all the amenities you need. Bed was comfortable and slept well after all the walking and trekking. WiFi was intermittent and could probably do with a boost but it did not ruin our stay as we were out exploring the surrounding area most of the day. "Lovely stay at the bungalow. Three friends on a singing weekend nearby. It was very well equipped, clean and peaceful. A drainer rack for the sink would be useful and the mattresses were a little ‘tired’. Nevertheless it was great for us and we would stay there again."
