Called in before making my booking about early check in policies & the possibility (yes, I know it can’t be guaranteed) of an early check in. Was told there would be an additional $30 dollar fee. Woman @ the front counter who could use ethnicity & customer service sensitivity training laughed @ our last name. It was 2 words & often gets booked under one or the other based on the company’s system. Then we were told we couldn’t do an early check in as there was only 1 suite like that in their entire hotel & it was occupied. When I inquired about what time I could call back she rudely asked if I wanted her to call the guests staying in the suite & demand a check out time. Then I was told to “Just walk around town until 3” We “walked around town” until 4 & upon arrival was told that they didn’t know what room we were in. They said they only had 1. New front desk person said, no. They in fact had more. But due to their phone lines & internet being down he didn’t know which room. Then they tried to book me into a different one. Not what I paid for. When I asked for a refund manager wasn’t in. I call Expedia for help and am dumb founded as I am told my room is available because someone told Expedia it was. I had to explain to Expedia that I was at the counter & being told otherwise. To be fair man @ counter was trying to get it cleaned but it’s 5PM. Check in was @ 3. Their hot tub was also down. Man @ counter needs a raise, only good thing about the place. Got my refund. Just, don’t
