"The hotel was welcoming , lovely location backing on to the river. We had booked a meal in the evening, restaurant manager was excellent at his job and meal lovely. Breakfast good, not a lot of choice. And had to go and ask for side plates for toast (my preference)but very accommodating. Will definitely stay again "

"Very friendly staff, a nice quiet room with a good sized bathroom, there were a few squeaky floor boards in the corridors but only to be expected in such an old building, we would definitely stay again."

"Reception Staff Caitlin was extremely help full. The room assigned to us was up 2 flights of stairs. This was not acceptable as we have a dog who needs have a walk at night. To ensure no mess in room. Caitlin found a ground floor room which was great. Cheryl the staff manager was very helpful when we went for breakfast. The hotel is a golf club excellent accommodation and very quite. Nearby there are some follies which I highly recommend for a visit."

"Our first visit here and definitely won’t be the last. It is an amazing place - friendly helpful staff, a beautiful clean room and the decor is outstanding. The chef is a credit to the hotel and the grounds are just waiting to be explored. We have travelled extensively both in the UK and abroad and can honestly say it is the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Nothing more to say except to highly recommend it. "
