"We stayed at Arden House as a family for 16 nights. The location of the house was great as it was a 5 minute walk to Shakespeare’s Birthplace and the centre of town. That being said, the house is located on a very busy street and sleeping with the window open would be impossible. The property comes with a parking pass but we rarely found a spot to park on Mansell Street after our day trips and had to pay for parking at the lot across the street. "The hotel and grounds are stunning. Spa (pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna) are really nice and well maintained. Super dog friendly (a few rooms). What really sets this hotel apart are the staff. Everyone we met from check in to check out were really friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. This includes all restaurant staff. "

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"The staff at the Spa, the reception staff, were completely hospitable. The location was brilliant. It was proper quiet at night, and although very near the town centre, we were able to sleep like logs. After Brexit, most of these Romanian and Polish had decided to return. Our loss. Thank God that some have remained with their warm and kind approach, which is quite different from the cold and reserved reception from some other hotels. "

"I stayed here on New Years Eve 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Stratford. On arrival at the hotel staff couldn’t find my booking; I showed them my confirmation having paid in full. They managed to give us a room, but not sure what would have happened if the hotel was fully booked? Our room was very dated, could do with some modernisation. But overall good value for money. "
