"Right opposite the train station so very handy for anyone who has mobility problems. Much quieter than I was expecting and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bedroom had plenty of supplies - including Earl Grey teabags, a cafetière and ground coffee, biscuits etc, also towelling robes and slippers. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. No food service after 6pm but within a short walking distance of many restaurants and bars. "

"We were greeted by Chris when we checked in after long day exploring Cotswold. We decided to stay in and booked a reservation for dinner. We had steak and Seabass and both meals were cooked to a perfection. All the courses were delicious from starter to dessert. The bed, bedding, linens, and soaps were luxury without loosing the characters of the house..and clean. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. "This property, a freehouse since the 18th century, is exactly what I expected. Close to all Bath city sights, rooms are efficient and have everything you need. The property has had recent painting to lighten and brighten the spaces and they are inviting in a relaxed manner you would expect of a freehouse, that is the charm of the place. There is a bit of street noise but nothing not expected from city living. I throughly enjoyed my stay."
