"I’ve stayed a couple of times for business, good location for Shropshire and mid Wales. Cosy rooms with lots of creature comforts, like being at home. Food and drink have been good both times I’ve stayed and staff are friendly. Stairs up to the rooms might be challenging for some, not sure if there’s a lift."

"Everything about this hotel is absoluuuutely faaantastic!!! I've had spotlessly clean room's, with super duper comfy beds, fab food from the restaurant, stunning breakfast especially the unlimited full english- yuUUMMMM!, but i still reckon the staff here are Simply The Best!Like the Tina Turner Song. They're really hardworking, approachable and friendly, lovely oh and funny😁, which personally makes them all very special. Thank you to each and every one of them, and from the bottom of my heart.They're an asset to this hotel and our pretty town Shrewsbury. "

"All the staff were friendly and welcoming which we loved. The hotel is centrally located but in a very quite position. At breakfast there was a good choice and brilliant service. Our only negative is that it is a little dated but as it is well maintained and very clean we would absolutely stay here again. "

"Lovely period hotel with mostly period furniture. Very welcoming and helpful staff. I was staying on my own but there was such a good friendly atmosphere I didn’t feel “on my own”. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas."
