"Staff is very nice, very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay overall. There was a crack in our ceiling that should probably be looked at. My only complaint is that when we reserved the room we specially requested a high floor for views. When we reached out to the hotel to ask about an amenity. We were told that we had been booked into a lower floor and that we should ask for an upgrade when we arrived. Thankfully staff were able to assist with that. "

"Even though I live in the East Bay, if I’m attending an event that will end late, I prefer to stay overnight in S.F. if a good hotel rate can be found. The first place I check is the Chancellor. I usually get a decent rate. It is centrally located near Union Square. It is still owned by the same family that built it after the 1906 earthquake. It has a home & family feeling - old San Francisco. It’s a great place."

"Staff and guests were super friendly and helpful. We did not have the microwave in our room as expected but there was one available in the common area 24/7 which was helpful. Loved the local food options and the proximity to different areas of the Bay. Great location and awesome view of the lake :-)"
