"We loved our stay at hotel dei Capitani, would highly recommend. Montalcino is famous for truffles, wild boar, wine, and beautiful views, especially from this hotel. It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. "In a heritage house of a medieval like town, facing church bell tower - great ambience! However, both two days we stayed was without food services (restaurant at site opens 5 out of 7 days😂). Room supply such as hot water and coffee etc are missing (the town does not have any shops) so was a bit inconvenience."

Staff always went out of their way to make our stay special, turndown and cleaning service was great, bfast buffet was 10/10, and property is just stunning. We also did the cooking class on property which was awesome and the hotel also set up a wine tour for us and it was great to be shown small family wineries.
