The hotel served a purpose for us. It was quite tired looking and we are not used to the smell of smoke inside. However, it was a comfortable nights sleep. "

"I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good this was! We had gotten this is on a deal, and I expected it to be a bare-bones hotel. Instead it was quite an aesthetically pleasing place with moderately sized rooms, a full bath, a nice breakfast room, and a comfortable bed. The location is awesome - right near the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. We are glad we went to the San Polo."

"A stopover en route home from the Algarve. A very easy hotel to find with adequate parking. Staff are exceptional. Restaurant is superb and the breakfast offers freshly made hot meals. An excellent stopover in a beautiful city with easy access to shops and centre, both within 5 min walking distance even for 80 year olds."
