I had an excellent stay in this newly remodelled apartment in a historic building in the heart of Uptown. The unit was super clean and therefore easy to get comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Mostly good!
The location was great, right by a bunch of theaters and near the lake-if you have a car, be mindful that the parking is tricky. The spot was smaller than it looks in the pics, but still ok for two people. The views are great! The amenities are lacking-no pots or pans, not much in the bathroom, so bring all your own stuff.

The place was clean, well furnished and very accessible. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Was understanding of misunderstanding on my part on departure time and would definitely recommend. Only small correction I would offer is the general location is off by a couple blocks when selecting the location.

Lovely Neighborhood
Lovely little apartment within a 10 minute walk to the L. Nice neighborhood and the directions to the apartment and check in were very clear and easy to follow. The apartment was clean and fit our needs for a weekend trip very well. My advice to out of towners would be to use Spothero to park your car and use the L to get around the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place, just a few shortcomings
I could have given this 5 stars, as it is very nice, but I did want to point out a few shortcomings that may affect others decision to stay here. If you are coming in from out of town and have a car, parking is mostly non-existent. Side street parking is permit only, and parking on Lawrence is metered, and you may not find a spot close. There is no loading/unloading zone. So if you have a lot of stuff with you, hopefully you can find a temporary spot close enough so you can load/unload and then move your car afterward. We were coming in for a birthday party, and needed to prepare some dishes for the party. The pots/pans are minimal, and there was no measuring cup/spoons. We ended up borrowing pots/pans from family who lived a couple of miles away, and guestimated on measuring. Not a big deal if you only plan on cooking simple meals, but just wanted to point out that the kitchen has only basic essentials. Most people probably don't care about these things, but for the few who may, wanted to let them know. Otherwise, we enjoyed staying here. Its clean, good location, and well maintained.

Great location. However the subway station listed in the listing is closed for remodeling. Lucy’s is a great lunch place and Big Chick’s and Breakfast house are great breakfast places. The lake is about 18 minute walk. Make sure to visit the rooftop terrace on a sunny day. Great view of the surrounding area, partial views of the lake and view of downtown and Willis Tower.

Good place for short term stay
Pros: -well decorated and very tidy -great location -fantastic bed/mattress -not too much noise from neighbors or outside -lots of natural light -host was excellent at responding quickly on Vrbo app Cons: -lagging TV…could not get a show to play on Netflix without the TV lagging -no instructions for gym access or checkout. This place would greatly benefit on a booklet with information on how to work things around the unit and recommendations on things to eat/see in the area -no body wash/soap. While shampoo and conditioner were provided, there was only a large dispenser of hand soap in the shower that I assumed was to be used as body wash. Checkout was at 11am but we had an unexpected run-in with the cleaners at 10:35am. It felt like we had to rush to checkout even though it was well before our checkout time. Overall, a decent place for a short term stay. For the reasons stated above, I think this place is a strong 4/5 and would consider staying here again if I’m ever in Chicago.
