"The staff at reception were consistently friendly, helpful and generally brilliant. We requested to switch rooms for a lake view and they did everything to make this possible, meaning our second night was spent looking out across the water. Our dog was equally welcome and was treated to a cosy bed, blanket, bowl and plenty of treats! The area around the hotel is lovely, with very nice walks around the lakes.
