"Fantastic Hotel in KK! Staff were friendly, engaging and helpful. The front desk staff helped us organize a couple of great tours and transportation. The breakfast is a must, sooo good! The pool area is gorgeous and bar staff is attentive and funny. Location is convenient for waterfront, markets, jesselton ferry terminal. Rooms were amazing, quiet, comfortable. Definately go for the water view! Worth every penny, loved it! "

"Good breakfast offerings albeit very busy and some guests desperately hungry. Nice pool and good gym. Entrance foyer doesn’t have any real ambience although there is a coffee shop and the in house nightclub can get quite loud. Friendly staff. Room serviced each day. It’s a Hilton."

"I have traveled the world many times. Over 1,000,000 miles in the air last I checked. I have stayed in slums and I have stayed in resorts. This is the best place I have stayed by far and for a great price. The food was great, staff was very friendly and attentive, all spoke English pretty well. The room service was divine and the buffets were insanely assorted and delicious. It is a short boat ride to different islands for snorkeling and water activities. Additionally if you upgrade you get access to free food and alcohol for afternoon tea and adults time in the restaurant. They also have so many activities for children and you can drop your child around 11am and have that romantic vacation you have been wanting while your kids play."

"Check-in was good and fast with such a friendly and professional staff. Room is just as requested. Only drawback is lack of switches for lighting which was replaced with digital push screen which doesn't seem to work resulting in a poorly lit room and caused inconveniences due to that. Prefer to have manual swtches for practicality."

"We were given a room looking out to the sea; great view. Once the vacant lot between the hotel and the sea is constructed, the view of the sea will be blocked. Bed is comfortable. Service is good. What pulled down the score is the hotel conditions. There are stains along the edging of the shower screens and walls. The bathroom grout is clean. There are moldy spots in the tiles of the swimming pool grout at the water level."

"Nice spacious rooms and good views over the sea. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only slight negatives was tgat the bars clided at 10pm which is a littke early, and some of the "hot" breakfast items were not kept that hot. But overall thoroughly recommend the Grandis when staying in Kota Kibabalu and we would not hesitate to stay again."
