"The Belfry is nice, a bit of a construction site but that didn't get in the way. Food, drinks and staff was great!! When I had a noise problem in my room it was dealt with and I even got a discount of 20% as I didn't sleep much. The pool was ok although looking old, I plan to come back when the new wellness centre is completed. The DJ was great, it as a fun stay. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. There's plenty of parking and electric chargers. "

"Loved the retro style/fixtures of the hotel and the fact that you can definitely imagine the old newspaper offices. Disappointed in some of the historical ‘front pages’ that were on display, especially those relating to the British royal family but I suppose this reflected the political slant of the Evening Telegraph and the press at the time Apart from this - the staff and the facilities were top rate"

Evening menu had plenty of choice, staff were friendly and food was very good but service was really slow: 45 minute wait for main course alone. Would stay again though. Worth noting that hotel is in area with low speed limits and lots of average speed cameras ! "

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Only one person on the reception desk who was on the phone so had to wait a while to check in. Was told it was room only despite my insistence that breakfast was included. Eventually she found the booking and agreed that breakfast was included By this time, there were several couples waiting to check in. Our room was in a separate annexe which was lovely but unfortunately the walls between the rooms were very thin. We had several people trying our door....
