Cosy cottage located in the rural setting of Lasswade within 25 minute drive to Edinburgh City Centre. Sleeps up to 4. One double bedroom and a futon style sofa bed that can sleep an additional 2 guests in the sitting room. If linen is required for any guests for the sofa bed this will be charged as an extra. Delightful!
We had a wonderful time! We came for our honeymoon and Victor and Carina made us feel so welcome! The area is so quiet and beautiful, with many places for lovely walks nearby. The cottage is perfect for two people, and the back garden is so nice for meals.

Overall ok but bed in lounge needs to change , not suitable for adults who wish to use it for than one night , or if you have mobility problems it to low , it tipped over when you get out of it. Otherwise they stay was enjoyable.

Wonderful Cottage outside of Edinburgh
My friends (3) and I were wonderfully surprised by this stay. Hosts were beyond helpful, and fast to respond. Beautiful property and cozy atmosphere. The cottage is well organized and EXTREMELY clean. One of the best places I have stayed in. It is easy to get into Edinburgh but does take 45 minutes by one bus. Overall a wonderful experience and a great place to stay if you are making a trip to Edinburgh and area. Definitely would stay here again!

Easter holiday in Edinburgh area
While traveling with our 15 year old son we stayed the weekend in this lovely cottage on the property of Victor an Carina just south of Edinburgh. The hosts are showed wonderful hospitality and the cottage is comfortably set up to sleep three (or four). Great attention to details of all we needed for a comfortable stay including notes for outings in the area and for getting to Edinburgh by bus or train. We definitely want to return to this beautiful cottage with wonderful hosts.

Adorable cottage near Edinburgh
This little cottage is even better than the photos. We so enjoyed the nature walks right from the cottage, including to Rosslyn Chapel through sun dappled forest and sheep fields. It was an easy 15 minute drive to Edinburgh to see all the sights there. The owners are wonderful! We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Nice stay
Nice cottage in a quiet neighborhood a short drive from Edinburgh. The cottage is next to the owner’s house. There were two deliveries that came to ours instead of the main house and some workers at the main house. Because the bedroom looks out onto the driveway and main house it was not as secluded as I thought. But it was mostly quiet and there is a small private garden in the back. There was easy access to Rosslyn Chapel and other hikes and a nearby pub. We enjoyed our stay.

Kitchen Garden Cottage
The cottage was comfortable, cozy, tranquil. Easy access to roadways and sites. The family who owns the cottage also owns the Cannonball Restaurant just outside Edinburgh Castle. That’s a must also!!!

Wonderful
This is a gem of a cottage. The bed was comfortable and dark at night. Living room comfy and the kitchen has everything you could need to cook for yourself. Victor was a friendly, helpful host and just at the end of the phone. Check in was so easy and parking on site was so safe.

Lovely cottage
Lovely clean cottage, lots of nice touches E.g. provisions to get you started tea, coffee, milk, dishwasher tablets, toilet roll, kitchen roll, bathroom toiletries. Good quiet location with parking. Quick responses from host when communicating. 10 min drive to station (with free parking) with train to Edinburgh taking approx 20 mins. Would recommend.

Kitchen Garden Cottage
Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was quaint and comfortable, beautifully situated, far enough away for peace and quiet yet close enough to enjoy the Fringe Festival and all that Edinburgh has to offer. We also enjoyed nice hiking locally through historic Lasswade. The hosts own top notch restaurants in Edinburgh which ought to be enjoyed while there. We found public transit to be quite good, though coming home late at night required a little extra effort. Next time we’re in Edinburgh, we’ll definitely check on the availability of Victor and Carina’s cottage.

Spring Break University Visit
This property is an excellent choice when visiting Edinburgh. It is a beautiful, quiet location from which there is easy access into the city center. You can enjoy the local foot and bridle paths along the River Eskbank. There is a local stables in Lasswade where you can ride or take a short drive to Seacliff Stables and ride on the beach. Roslyn Chapel is a nearby destination to visit. There is falconry at nearby Dolhousie Castle. And the cottage is a great place to spend time after a day in Edinburgh. We will definitely be back if my daughter chooses to study at the university. The site is perfect if you like a location for both the city and the countryside.

Wonderful stay for Edi Marathon
Four of us stayed at Carina and Victor’s cottage over the bank holiday weekend. We were taking part in the Edinburgh marathon festival. They were so accommodating and welcoming upon our arrival, Victor showed us around and was incredibly friendly. The cottage is beautifully designed and furnished - the photos don’t do it justice! There’s a lovely private patio which would be wonderful during summer, unfortunately we had a lot of rain. They had milk in the fridge for us and also some tunnocks teacakes which was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious for two and then the sofa becomes a flatbed in the living area - it is on the smaller side but still fine for two adults. There is a direct bus a ten min walk away into the city and Ubers for early morning departures for the races were also reliable. We would definitely recommend their cottage as a place to stay particularly if you want to explore the outskirts of the city and be in some nature! Many thanks to Carina & Victor!
