"Socalco definitely surprised me. A place that is a bit harder to get to but it’s well worth it. The best part of the hotel is the fact that it’s also a mini-winery where they grow the grapes that makes the two local wines they offer. "Perfect for just the two of us. Tastefully decorated and very roomy. Off the beaten tourist track which suited us down to the ground. Another couple staying with us, though, would've presented bathroom difficulties. Steep flight of stairs to bedrooms could be tricky for anyone with mobility problems. "We had a fantastic stay with Maria. The rustic property was in a cute, quiet, and private location with an amazing view of the ocean. Easy parking was available below the church, which was a 5-minute walk away from the property. The garden and view were highlights of the property that we will always remember. "It was a charming well planned home. The kitchen with lovely cabinets was bright and very well equipped. Very comfortable beds. There were good heaters on the walls but it was still quite cool as the house was very exposed sitting on a cliff. We loved the well built windows and balconies that gave us views of the distant towns and ocean. We were able to access a Levada very close by which was convenient for us. It was also a very quiet area with little traffic."
