Best time to travel to Prague

Peak Season:

The climate from May through early September is beautifully warm and inviting. Crowds are especially solid during this period, but if you can find a good deal on flights, this is a wonderful time to go, as the city practically blossoms with sheer variety, such as the Spring festival in May and June, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in July, and the Autumn festival in September.

Shoulder Season:

Prague's shoulder season lands from March to April, then again in late September to October. These months tend to be cool, though they are also usually mild. Because of the pleasantly crisp weather, this is a great time to visit the Prague Castle and explore the Divoká Šárka nature park, then step inside the Kabinet cafe to warm up over a cup of hot coffee.

Off Season:

Though there are still stray tourists wandering the city, most flee the bitingly cold months of November through February. Although the weather is chilly, flights to Prague are inexpensive, making this a great time to explore the city's many indoor delights, like the Tyn Church, the Cross Club, and the Rudolfinum Theatre.
