"Decent studios in Windham, small bedroom with queen bed and small kitchenette, rather expensive, easy parking just behind the property. The walls are paperthin, we could hear the neighbor kids bouncing about at 10pm... Regrettably, the small restaurant that was part of the property has closed, so one needs to drive into W for dinner, also, no continental breakfast or any other service beyond the bare room."

"Black Bear Lodge is the perfect place to lay your head at night after a long day of hiking and outdoor adventures! The host was very kind as she provided light breakfast each morning (fruit, tea, coffee, muffins, croissants, bottled water), and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. "The owner or manager was quite accommodating with early checkin for our luggage and let us use her mini refrigerator. She was very friendly and gave us a tour of this 1889 home. She made a delicious breakfast accommodating my gluten and dairy intolerance. The bed and room were totally comfortable! The only drawbacks were sharing the bathroom with the three other rooms making six people using the one bathroom. A water filter is also needed for the brown water."

"I would totally recommend! It was a very practical apartment. I stayed with my spouse and my parents. The location was great, the manager was very arranging with the check-in time, and we really appreciated that we had two floors and two full bathrooms, one for my parents, and one for me and my spouse. "Came to do some hiking with some friends. Central location if you are looking to do the fire towers! House as described, though with an older home, the doors are a little wonky. Kitchen pretty well supplied, could use a pasta pot and regular frying pans (there is a cast iron pan). The crock pot was a plus! Nice Solo Stove out back - we were lucky with the weather and had a nice cocktail hour outside!"

"This is a very nice private cottage away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life. If you are looking for a place to "touch grass", this is a great cottage where you can get a reset from it all. There is no light pollution and start gazing is incredible.
