"Check in was great. Staff v helpful. Rooms were v nice - decent decor and style was good, bathroom had heated mirror, which was nice for after showering. Staff in the evening were helpful and got us sorted with a taxi for the next morning. However, the pool (and gym) closed at 6pm on Sunday evening - I think clarity of this e.g. Email prior to booking confirmation, would be good, as we were disappointed. Also, on check out, the person on the desk seemed to have trouble with the computer system and tried to get me to pay a second time. The staff member was unpleasant to deal with - a shame as the others (including breakfast staff) seemed v nice and helpful. "

"We booked this hotel as the rate at the Four Seasons, where we had been invited to a reception, was rather excessive. Comparing the two, actually Elvetham was a lot nicer. Why? Because it had a huge amount of history and was full of character. Four seasons was of course top quality, but at the end just another modern hotel. The staff at both were very helpful. but here Elvetham had the edge here as well. They were so good. Well done to Elvetham!"

"We had a lovely stay here, some areas could do with a touch up here and there but our room was clean and warm and the bed very comfy. The food was delicious (breakfast especially) and the staff all very helpful and friendly. Would definitely come again. "

"I was able to check in early which was unexpected. Front desk member of staff was lovely and room was good size. There was a wide range of breakfast options and hotel is well located for the town centre's shops and restaurants."

"Stayed 1 night in September 2024. As a frequent traveller, I always ask hotels for a Ground Floor room, near to reception, as I have three heavy bags to carry. Usually this request is ignored, but on this occasion, the allocated room was ideal. Very helpful 👍 Good size room, nice breakfast selection. Lovely grounds. Only downside was the bathroom had no heating, and was quite cold. Overall, very pleased, and will book again. "
