"Love this hotel - friendly staff reflect Kuching itself. Amazing room service, access to shopping mall in hotel, great views, amazing breakfast buffet, I want to go back ! Only small complaint might be that the elevators are slow and get busy with shopping mall users, wedding and conference guests, etc - but don't let this small matter deter you from staying here !"

"Their service stood out. Always ready to assist and accomodate. Housekeeping needs to do beater. Daily room cleaning is inconsistent. Towels were a hit and missed. On some days the room was immaculately cleaned and tidied up while on other days it looked like a rushed job."

"3 days in the Executive Suite on the top floor ! Happy with the spacious room and bathrooms… All fine ! Staff were very polite and helpful… Excellent team ! Breakfast wasn’t great… suggest you go out and explore the lovely food in Kuching ! Hence, we didn’t get a chance to visit the Executive Lounge ! Will certainly book the same room on our next visit !"

"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. If noise bothers you you may want to choose a room towards the rear of the property. Seems like people either love or...

"Our room was not available for unclear reasons upon arrival. Sketchy and passive aggressive management. A cash damage deposit was required at check in without prior notice. A paper receipt omitted the deposit amount. A 48 hour wait for confirmation of a change was responded to only after Expedia intervention. Caveat emptor!"

"There is no telephone in the room need qr code or watsapp to contact room service and reception. Very incovenient for the less tech savy guests. TV has no reception. Need to use the internet to watch.... "
