"I can’t tell you how unbelievable our girls trip was at the Avalon. The room was unbelievable.. all 3 of us had our own private room and bathroom PLUS we had an extra 1/2 bath. The views of the ocean from 2 of the bedrooms and main area was crazy beautiful!! Washer and dryer in the room with tide pods was soo extra. "Location was nice, note that this is not directly on the beach there is a short walk. The unit could use a new and larger couch considering how many people the unit accommodates. The rug in the living room was dirty. The walls are not very sound proof and was noisy at night in the hallway. The pool is rather small and only holds 17 people max. Pro: Spacious and easy parking."

"Our room was conveniently located close to Cleatwater Beach and Shepherd's Resort, where we attended a wedding. Cleanup was still occurring following the aftermath of the recent hurricanes. Our room was clean and orderly. The overall property of Pelican Pointe Resort was satisfactory. We stayed for 5 nights, and on several occasions, other guests were blaring music on the balconies, and it often smelled like weed. And whatever, to each their own, but at times it was overwhelming."
