"Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views of the Torrey Pines golf course and Pacific Ocean from our Palisades room. Our room was spacious with a wonderful fireplace and large bathroom. The hotel amenities are nice, but the AR Valentine restaurant was under construction during our stay, which was unfortunate. I am taking a star off due to an old uncomfortable mattress that was extremely firm/springy, along with several nonfunctioning outlets throughout the room. The pillows provided zero...

"Great two night stay at my favorite place in LaJolla. Only problem was our room keys were invalidated after one day and it took awhile to get help to get in the second night. Major disappointment. Otherwise the stay was exceptional "

Pines Corner Penthouse Suite (Recently Renovated) | View from room

"We stayed in the renovated side of the hotel (Pines). The room was very nice and the ocean view was amazing. Lots of dining options without walking distance and treat shops for the kids. The hotel pool/hot tub was a little hard to find and seemed to be shared with nearby condos but still nice and relaxing. I would recommend staying only if you're going to stay in the renovated side. There is a definite difference between the two... and it's evident even from looking at the hotel from outside....

"Other than only 1 small elevator being in service, everything was excellent. Location was excellent - walking distance to the beach and many places to eat. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. "
