Convenient location 5-10 minutes from the tube and nice walk to adjacent areas. Relatively quiet, upscale surroundings. Neutral, modern furnishings and bathroom consistent with photos. Single twin room was tiny (i.e., not enough space to fully open a large suitcase) and wifi didn't work in my room for most of my stay, but the lobby/lounge area was a useful place to sit and work as needed. Seamless check in and out via the app, and the staff very kindly carried my heavy suitcase inside when they saw me on the sidewalk. Overall, a solid 3* hotel if you value the location and look and are ok with fairly minimal amenities.

It was tiny, nothing like the photo sent to me It was overwhelmingly hot, no facilities. When I eventually got the shower to work it would not turn off! Reception were advised but had no sense of urgency Never again!!

We were here when London had the hottest days in June. The room without air conditioning was a torture, but the staff here did help us get another fan, which helped a bit. The mattress and pillows were good, the location was really convenient. I would just try to avoid this hotel if I were to travel to London again during it’s hot summer.

Be warned no aircon-which for is a basic in a hotel. Windows hardly open!!! Shower is poor-no power Room design is very basic not like pictures!! Email log does not work Poor!!!

Surprisingly lovely stay
Lovely compact hotel situated in a quiet area in Kensington. Amenities and glouster road station is within a 5 minute walk. The room has everything you need a tv, nespresso coffee machine and a kettle, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, a comfy bed king sized bed and walk in shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles. Guests can help themselves to essentials which are located in reception. Entering the building and room are by done by key code. Although we couldn’t had no aircon a little desktop fan solved this issue. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Sonder.

Enjoyable stay
We stayed 8 nights and were overall happy with our stay. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We had one interaction with the housekeeper and she was also friendly and helpful. The hotel is updated and clean. We heard very little noise from other guests. The location is only a short walk to the Tube station and restaurants. The neighborhood seems quite safe. The room and bathroom were quite small but we knew that from reading other reviews so it was acceptable. The only real issue was that there was no light directly above the bathroom mirror which made shaving difficult due to shadows from the overhead lights. If we could customize our review score we would give it 4.5

Poo sound-proof, no hot water and very tinny room.
Very small room, very hot, no air-con, (after I requested, provided fan), carpet is dirty; no hot water, bath room is tiny (anyway cannot be used due to no hot water). Sound proof is poor, I can hear noise from the street and upstairs, which influenced my sleep. The only thing good is the location, very close to tube station.

A false fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, everyone in the hotel had to evacuate the building and we had to stand outside for 30mins or so before the fire alarm finally stopped. I had an international flight the next morning and it really ruined my travel.

Booked a small double so wasn’t expecting a huge room. The room was very small but had everything we needed as we were out most of the day. The main issue we did have was the shower. It was truly awful. I would recommend that some of the staff actually try washing in it. It was a tiny corner shower with a fixed shower head. The water was split between hot and cold (it didn’t mix them together) and the space was so limited it was nearly impossible to wash. The bed however, was very comfortable and we slept well. Nice to have tea/coffee in the room. Lack of plugs and a mirror would have been helpful. The only mirror was in the bathroom - not great when doing hair. We would stay at a Sonder again but definitely not in a room this small - and definitely one with a usable shower. The area was lovely. Very quiet and close to underground. We had a fire alarm on our second night at 1am which was a rude awakening! Think the fire procedure could be improved as there were lots of people waiting inside the hotel. Not sure what would have happened if it had been a real incident.
