Completely renewed, inside the house and outside, on 2017.
Charming treasure trove within our rustic Tuscany. A villa belonging to 18th century with its perfect proportions and fascinating structure. It has been renovated maintaining the original characteristics and re-furbished with autenthic, original furniture. The elegant style and attention to detail, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rustic villa is situated within an olive grove, surrounded by the sounds of nature- but nearby, about one hundred meters far, the owners are living. Lucca is a medioeval town, full of history and surrounded by unique, centuries-old walls. The house lies 11 km. from the centre of Lucca and is ideally located to take day trips to Florence -70km., Pisa -20km, Siena and S.Gemigmano -90km. The Lucca region reaches as far as the mediterrean coast in Versilia, where the famous Forte dei Marmi is situated. The elegant beaches and fine sand are renowned within this area. If one day you remain at home, you can enjoy the view of Lucca from the terrace.

Perfect Location for a visit in the Toscana
From this location you can visit Lucca and the historic gardens. The house has a wonderful view and a wonderful atmosphere. It is in a very quiet area where you can relax. The owner was always approachable and helpful. We would book this house again at any time.

This is a beautiful Tuscan villa situated on the top of a secluded hill. The view was amazing and the house was very cozy. Massimo was so nice throughout our stay and told us of the many nearby attractions. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return again

As fantastic as expected
The house was exactly as advertised, beautifully decorated, clean and with a spectacular view. While the weather was not as good as hoped the location made more than up for it and we loved our little 'home' far from home. Massimo was an exceptional host, very attentive and helpful. Old World Charm
This little farmhouse is 100 years old and still had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, nice showers and plenty of hot water. It gave us a taste of a life lived long ago. Views were beautiful and the town of Lucca was 20 minutes away by car. Shopping there is great. The farmhouse is remote, quiet, and in the middle of olive trees. Wi-Fi was good, and the parking was a nice amenity. Massimo provided us with a lot of local information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Fairy tale house
Massimo's house is absolutely charming and comfortable. We felt like we were living in a fairy tale house. The view is beyond spectacular. We ate and shopped at some of the places he recommended and enjoyed them all. The drive up can be a little frightening at first but if I can handle it, anyone can. The view makes it all worth it! We also enjoyed the cats who visited us outside a few times (I named one Figaro). Massimo is very friendly and helpful. We hope to come back in a couple of years to explore Tuscany even more!

Tonino’s house!
This lovely Tuscan farmhouse is a wonderful view ( yes the view from the hilltop is to die for)of a storybook lifestyle. Massimo is a wonderful host, always available for help, and has the house spotless and ready for visitors. He’s upgraded with 20th century amenities while keeping it in the style of the old stone farmhouses. Plenty of hot water, good Internet, BBQ & microwave and a wood fire stove for extra warmth. Surrounded by olive groves, you are nestled in the hills amongst the other stone houses & villas of the Tuscan countryside. Lucca about 20 minutes away! Pisa is about a 1/2 hour by train, bus or car! I’d definitely stay again. For me, once in a life time trip due to special friendships. Thanks MT. Ciao!

Such a gem.
We saw this property on line and were very so surprised to find it is just as wonderful as it showed on VRBO. Massimo was a delight and met us at McDonalds and escorted us to the house. The GPS stops part the way up and you would never find it. The property was very clean and he left us a loaf of fresh local bread and a bottle of wine. Massimo will also give you the shortest routes to attractions and places to park (important) The only part that was a bit surprising to me was we had to pay for gas for the hot water, range and heat as well as any wood we used for the fireplace. For five days it ran €25 for 4 people so be prepared for that or more to come out of your €200 deposit. Other than that it was a fantastic stay

Schöner Familienurlaub mit Hund
Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig und hat einen tollen Blick ins Tal auf Lucca. Es entspricht voll und ganz der Beschreibung und bietet eine gute Ausstattung mit Spülmittel, Seife, Handtüchern, Waschmaschine, Wäscheständer (sogar ein Bügeleisen) etc. Es gibt 2 Bäder und 2 getrennte Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Doppelbetten. Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen in der Toskana verbracht und konnten Lucca, Florenz, Pisa, Barga und die Marina erkunden. Massimo hat uns mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps zu Parkplätzen, Restaurants, Hundestrand, Sehenswürdigkeiten versorgt und war ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Zum Glück waren bei dem heißen Wetter 2 Ventilatoren vorhanden und das WLAN sehr stabil ;-) Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Accueil particulièrement chaleureux, grande gentillesse du propriétaire. Très bel endroit, décoré avec beaucoup de goût: chaque recoin est à découvrir. Vue sur la vallée: magnifique. Chemin d'accès: petit conseil: n'ayez pas une voiture trop large et aimez les routes sinueuses...Mais l'endroit le vaut bien !

Great Tuscany stay
My daughter and I spent a lovely week there. We loved it. If you want a week away from it all you couldn't do better. Most mornings were in the garden just reading in the sun. The small farmhouse is very peaceful with great views. The house is comfortable and everything worked (incl Wifi). It could do with a bit better seating area inside for the evenings, it's ok and you are normally outside. A small point. Lucca is close by and fascinating, worth taking a guided tour. Good (very organised) beaches 30 min away at Viareggio.

Wonderfull stay at this charming house in the hills
Everything was as expected or more. Only thing i need to address is that the road up to the house VERY narrow and requires consentration while driving. The view over lucca is spectacular and we spend every night watching the lights come on. Remember to turn on the outdoor light an watch the geckoes catch flies.

Atemberaubend
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem typisch toskanischen Häuschen. Die abenteuerliche Fahrt auf den Berg lohnt sich, denn die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend. Die Lage ist perfekt, um alle wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Toskana zu entdecken. Wir waren in Lucca (15 min, unsere Lieblingsstadt), Florenz, Volterra, Pisa, Siena und Montecarlo. Vom Gastgeber Massimo haben wir viele wichtige Tipps bezüglich unserer Ausflüge erhalten. Zur Begrüßung gab es sogar Prosecco und toskanisches Gebäck, welches wir mehrfach nachkauften, weil es so lecker ist. Unser kleines Pudelmädchen hat sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt und abends nach langer Tour einen Freudentanz aufgeführt, als wir wieder in unserem Häuschen ankamen. Dann haben wir es uns mit einem Glas Rosato aus dem nahegelegenen Weingut auf der Terrasse gemütlich gemacht und die absolute Stille und den Ausblick genossen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, alles ist blitzblank und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir danken Massimo für die schöne Zeit und können die Unterkunft nur jedem empfehlen.

Wunderschöner Urlaub mit traumhafter Aussicht
Im April 2024 verbrachten wir eine wunderschöne Auszeit in diesem gepflegten Haus. Wir fanden alles so vor, wie im Inserat beschrieben. Die erste Fahrt hoch zum Haus ist schon sehr abenteuerlich, da die Straßen und Wege sehr eng sind... man wird aber mit einem traumhaften Blick auf Lucca und die umliegenden Hügel belohnt. Und spätestens nach der 3. Autofahrt hat man sich an die Anfahrt gewöhnt. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld lief problemlos. Massimo ist ein sehr herzlicher, dennoch dezenter Gastgeber, der sich erkundigt und gute und brauchbare Tipps für Ausflüge, Einkäufe, Parken, Restaurants...etc geben kann. Die Lage des Hauses ist zum Erkunden der nördlichen Toskana perfekt geeignet. Man kann Ausflüge in die bekannten Städte wie Lucca, Pisa, Florenz unternehmen, aber auch eine Fahrt zu den kleineren Ortschaften lohnt sich. Hier haben uns Montecatini Alto und Barga sehr gut gefallen. Mit gutem Wein deckt man sich am besten in Montecarlo ein. Die Strände sind ebenfalls gut und schnell zu erreichen. Dank besten Wetters konnten wir schon im April zwei Strandtage einplanen. Der Garten mit den vielen Olivenbäumen eignet sich für Kinder gut zum Toben. Wir haben vor allem die Ruhe am Haus sehr genossen, ebenso den wunderschönen Ausblick. Geschlafen haben wir ebenfalls gut, die Betten sind bequem. Geheizt haben wir abends mal über die Heizung, mal über den Kamin. Tagsüber war Heizen gar nicht nötig. Einen Urlaub in diesem typisch toskanischen Haus können wir empfehlen.
