"When traveling in this area you don’t have many options, either this place, or the hotels in the Mt. Cook village. The location is amazing and an easy walk to the lake for sunset or sunrise. We stayed for 1 night and it was OK. The room was full of flies, the front desk said they don’t bite, which probably is true, but still, the flies were everywhere. "My family and I stayed at this property after traveling extensively across New Zealand. We very much enjoyed the homey and comfortable feel. The communication with Andrea was phenomenal! Andrea was easy to connect with and ask questions as well as providing the necessary information. We enjoyed the small town feel of Twizel while still having ready access to the dark sky preserve and Mount Cook. I highly recommend this location!"

"We love Lake Ohāu and always head back often, usually staying at the lodge, but this time we stayed at Grants place, and it did not disappoint!! A beautiful home with incredible lake and mountain views, comfy rooms, with everything you need and more. A new spa had been put in just before our arrival, although we did not get to test it out. Very roomy, large kitchen, toys, books, ping pong, bikes, its all there! A great place for any time of the year! Thank you so much for having us!! "
