"We had a wonderful stay. The views are spectacular. The garden delightful. It is Quiet and extremely private. The kitchen worked well for our needs. The tower feels warm and inviting, and all the furniture was comfortable. We loved falling asleep to the stars and waking with the sunrise. Restaurants, stores and ocean bluff trails are all within walking distance. Looking forward to visiting at another time of year where we can enjoy the garden and deck more. "This was a very magical stay for us. My boyfriend and I decided to take a small first time vacation together and I chose Mendocino. The Watertower is both private and accessible. No wheelchairs, so if you're not independently mobile choose somewhere else. The accommodations are minimal but perfect! The private jacuzzi is very powerful and the shower is big enough for two! And they give you terry robes to use while there. The bed was super comfy and they furnished a fan, which is a huge deal...

"It's a large home with bedrooms, games, stairwells, and even a suite in a stand-alone building all over the place. The driveway is tight and rough. But it does lead to a small trail and a private beach. My big complaint would be the upstairs shower. Ick. The town is small and interesting. It is a great place to be to see the most of the multiple redwood parks."

It has a life to it, you can feel that people enjoyed this house, grandpa and grandma lived here when they were young. "So glad we found this spot. It was perfect for our elopement in Stout Grove, as it was just a 5 minute drive down the road. The house had everything we needed to cook dinner, play some games together and just relax. The house was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Although we had no issues and didn’t need to contact the host. I believe there would be no issues if we had to. Check in/out was effortless and I would definitely rent again if we’re ever in the area again. "
