"Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. "

Not a lover of toilet brushes and the one in the bathroom was sitting in goodness knows what and noticed it as soon as entered the bathroom as the holder was clear - not nice. No tv remote in room and to be fair we didn’t request one during the stay as we got back late and didn’t notice until ready for bed and would have had to walk into the bar area! "

"Had a wonderful stay here. Staff were friendly, food was great, room & hotel was clean. My only negative is that the walls are very thin! I could here everything in the next room, from phone conversations, to using the bathroom. I expect not much can be changed as it's an old building. So my only recommendation is for people to take ear plugs! I'm glad I brought my own eye mask, as the room was bright at night with the light from outside. But overall a lovely experience, and would happily go...
