Beach is safe and accessible from hotel also an even larger and more sandy beach is about a 10 minute walk. Great food selections, friendly staff and even cool shows on the main stage every evening. The hotel has an unusual lay-out with blocks of rooms scattered over the hillside and with golf-type buggies running frequently picking guests up to get back to the main building or elsewhere. "Stayed in March so it was quiet and the weather not quite good enough for the super pool. The owners and staff were great, the food superb, much of it local and the location was just right, rural but easy walking to the local beaches and conservation area."

"We enjoyed our 2 week stay in Villa Michaela in Portopedro very much. The 3 story house was nice and as well as the environment. We made several enjoyable walking excursions in different directions during the days and visited good restaurants and bars in the evening in Portopedro or cooked our own dinners in the house in the evenings. The main problem was the strong traffic sounds in the back bed rooms close to the street. There you needed to be a sound sleeper."
