A cozy b&b very closed to the town center.
Comfortable beds and amazing breakfast.
The only flaw was related to the room - not really sound proofing. We could hear the "room neighbors" very easily.
I loved my stay here! The room was clean, well stocked, ample parking with easy access, and the breakfast offered was lovely. Location was great and the owners were so kind. I would stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at Taigh Duitseach in April 2024. Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming. We were only on Skye for 72 hours so we'll definitely be coming back and would feel lucky to stay here again next time!
Highly recommend to stay in this suite! We had a wonderful stay. This is a cozy suite with everything you need and the facilities are very clean. The host couple is very friendly as well. We wouldn’t forget they were making us the delicious breakfast everyday! We are so glad to choose this property. Thanks for having us again!
Unit 4 was lovely. The house was quiet. Everything was very clean and well stocked. They even had toothbrushes and other toiletries. Great location. Easy parking.
A short walk from the square. A lovely stand alone place that’s updated, friendly, and cosy. Jim was more than patient for a late arrival as our ferry was cancelled. All around great place!
Everything was of a high standard. Jim and Pauline were excellent hosts, the breakfast options were great, and the premises were kept in top condition. It is situated within easy walking distance to the centre of Portree, and suited our needs well.
Room is very small. The 2 ladies at the breakfast are friendly.
Property is about 12 minutes walk to town but it is hard to do when it is raining, and it rain all the time when we were there. There is no parking in the town.
Roads in Portree are hard to drive, most parts of the road are one car lane so we had to stop every 1/10 mile for other direction go thru.
Most people in Scottland are not friendly, I would not come back to Scotland.
We had a great time at this B&B. The house is so cool, with its own history, great people, wonderful attention to detail, gave us great tips for dinning and activities, overall a great experience. A bit out of the way, but that is what we wanted.
Jim and Pauline has done up the place tastefully. Room was extremely comfortable with well thought out amenities. Breakfast room is pleasantly laid out with a good spread. Overall stay feels even better than what some hotels offer! Thank you Jim and Pauline for making our stay at Isle of Skye wonderful!
