"Feels like Im staying at my grandmas that I never knew. Very welcoming, feels like home. My wife cried as we were leaving. Fantastic food/dinner. Would recommend to anyone who wants an at home experience. They speak pretty good english for the area and are some of the most kind people I have met. Its not a 5 star hotel. Its a 5 star home"

"We love this charming hotel built into medieval stone and very close to the Maiella mountains! Staff were excellent esp Eugene who can converse in English well, very generous of his time and provided excellent service throughout as well as Petra who was so funny and kind - both made the pleasant stay even better! "The hotel is lovely and very clean and the staff including Franco who was extremely friendly and accommodating, and Chef Marco whose homemade pastas were so delicious. We had a beautiful terrace which overlooked beautiful scenery. On Sunday morning, we were serenaded with a cacophony of church bells ringing simultaneously. It was simply beautiful. Although my tastes are more modern, for those who appreciate antiques and old world ambiance, Grande Albergo Is perfect. "

"I had a very nice stay. I speak English and the staff tried their hardest to understand me and help with all my needs. The day spa was very nice, but for 1 night stays, and check in at 3, and check out at 11 you can’t possibly get your moneys worth. Next time I will need to stay at least 2 nights. My room was spotless, very clean and comfortable. Housecleaning did a wonerdul job. Breakfast was beautiful on the terrace and delish!"

"Perfect pick for us, convenient, clean, safe, helpful staff. Helped get a taxi to get to Salerno train station. Breakfast included. Beautiful view of river running thru Campagna. Campagna has historical sites which housed Jews during war, but the Italians were kind to the prisoners, which caused some their lives. US bombed Campagna causing deaths to Jews and citizens, but my family realizes it was a stratigic strike. Catacombs under church dating way back. Great Catina there, also pizzaria "

"Euphresia was very communicative during the entire booking process and made our stay so comfortable. It was rather cold and she'd set up the fire to warm us up. The pellet heater kept us cozy the entire night. The view from the table and chairs in the backyard was absolutely incredible. Made for a very peaceful, relaxing setting and enjoyed our time there"
