Apartment in the historical centre of Rome with panoramic view

This charming apartment in the heart of Trastevere, Rome, is a delightful retreat that combines comfort and style. Nestled on the third floor (two and a half flights of stairs, no elevator) of a quaint building on Via Augusto Jandolo, the 50-square-meter space is characterised by a thoughtful decor. It features one bedroom and a living room with a double sofa-bed and is bright and spacious.

The bedroom is inviting and generously sized, with a king-size bed and a large closet. The living room is cozy and well-equipped with a double sofa-bed, a TV, and a window offering stunning panoramic views of Ancient Rome. The apartment also includes a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing meals after a day of exploring.

Located in the quiet, traffic-free streets of Trastevere, the apartment is ideally positioned between two picturesque ancient Roman squares: Piazza dei Mercanti and Piazza di Santa Cecilia. You’ll have easy access to explore central Rome by foot, making public transport unnecessary. The Trastevere neighbourhood itself is known for its authentic Roman atmosphere, filled with cosy restaurants, charming bars, and gelaterias where you can savour Italy's famous ice cream.

Just a short walk away, you’ll find the iconic boat-shaped island in the Tiber River. This historic site, with its ancient connection to the temple of Asclepius and its role as a hospital, offers a fascinating glimpse into Rome's ancient past. The apartment's location places you at the very heart of Rome's history, surrounded by both modern comforts and timeless beauty.

Great stay and helpful host
We really loved this apartment! Especially the rooftop terrace to have our breakfast on in the morning. The neighborhood has great food and the apt had everything we needed! Eva even helped us out when my partner left her blazer at the apartment after checkout by leaving it for us to pickup nearby later. Would come again!

Rome stay
Check in was a breeze. Monica was extremely helpful. Had one slight problem which the owner Eva took care of immediately. The location could not have been better. We were able to walk everywhere. Bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The stairs were tough but helped to keep the pounds off from the wonderful food.

Great Place in Trastevere
My wife and I very much enjoyed staying in this apartment. The host had great communication and was a big help. The apartment is in the perfect location in Trastevere with some of the best restaurants in Rome right outside the door. The apartment itself is quite large and has all the amenities you need. If you’re looking to stay in Trastevere, I highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect location
Our contact with the host and staff was perfect. It was so good to be met and shown around the apartment when we arrived. It was certainly more than we expected. The apartment was clean, well furnished and very homely. The stairs were a challenge with our luggage, so not an ideal place if you can’t lug your bags up three flights of stairs. Bars and restaurants at the doorstep, and an easy walk to the city centre. I’m not sure why there is a mention of sea views….!!! Rome is inland

A beautiful apartment in Trastavere!
Check-in was a breeze, and the apartment was really was spacious with great amenities like a washing machine, as well as a lot of great natural lighting on a nice day. The area is very walkable and incredibly charming. It feels like you're living among the locals. There are a lot of great local places you It can get a little louder in the weekend evenings, but this may not be an issue depending on your preferences. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking to stay in Rome.

Beautiful Apartment in Trastevere
The apartment was very clean. The location was excellent - within walking distance of many sights. It was the perfect size for us. I really enjoyed access to the rooftop where I could have coffee or a glass of wine. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect apartment in perfect location!
Eva was very prompt, friendly and helpful in her communication through the booking and during the stay. The apartment was perfect, lots of space with a beautiful view of the Aventine Hill and Basilica across the river. There was a slight smell in the bathroom but Eva immediately had it taken care of and fixed. The was a bit of noise at night but that is unavoidable downtown and worth it. Nothing some ear plugs can't solve. Every amenity was provided that we needed (utensils, kitchen appliances, laundry, etc). She also included 2 complimentary coffees and croissants each day from the cafe downstairs. Being able to walk out the door and have multiple cafes, restaurants, shops, etc right there is wonderful. And only 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Rome!

Vibrant neighborhood
If you love staying in the local neighborhood of Italians, then this is the place to be. Hidden eating gems behind every rickety old door. Lively night life, despite being located between two churches. People are friendly and food is excellent and the actual apartment is on the fourth floor with old world charm. The host tries to accommodate for all your needs. The only downside is that the bed needs a new mattress as you can feel the springs poke through.

The property owner was very helpful. The apartment is easily walkable to so many great attractions & restaurants. Travestere was lovely and not as crowded as the other parts of Rome. The only drawback was it was noisy at night when trying to sleep. There’s a restaurant really close by and people were yakking it up till quite late at night. But everything else was just perfect.

Near the Tiber
Good location in Trastevere. Well maintained with comfortable atmosphere. Good shower and bed. Well equipped kitchen. Good communication with Eva, she even called us a transfer to FCO for an early morning flight. Several floors up, around 65 steps. You can see Aventine Hill from the windows. You can also go up to the roof for a better view and a glass of wine. Very secure.

Mom and Son trip
We had a fabulous time and the apartment was equipped with everything you need to make a simple meal. Beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows and blankets. There’s a large wardrobe in the main bedroom that has tons of hangers, an iron and ironing board, clothes pins, umbrellas. The views from the windows were amazing. You are right in the heart of Trastevere. There’s a Conrad’s grocery store within walking distance and a market with fresh produce sets up on Saturday in piazza di San cosimato. There’s tons of restaurants nearby to try. You won’t be disappointed with any of them! Highly recommend Eva’s apartment. It’s in an older building, so no elevator and it’s the top floor. Totally worth the climb! Loved it and would love to come back for another stay!

Great month in Trastevere neighborhood hi
We spent a month in Rome. So much of ancient Rome was in walking distance from the apartment. Local flea market on Sundays was a short walk, severally daily or weekly farmers/open air food markets near by as well as a selection of grocery supermarkets. Weather for us was great. Walkabouts to local attractions and stores were easy and interesting. Many local restaurants, coffee/wine bars, pizzerias and gelaterrias. Lots of steps up to the apartment. Not good for all seniors but we did fine. One of the local trattoria is too noisy into early hours of the morning. One of the two bedrooms is quiet all night.

Excellent Beds with little touches!
We were only in Rome for 4 days and this apartment fit our needs beautifully. This is a quiet neighborhood and the beds were the most comfortable I've had in Eurpoe thus far, which made for a great night sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The owner had a bottle of wine, box of pasta, sauce, olive oil, salt, pepper, chocolates, toast, coffee and bathroom necessities. The little extras really made our stay easy. The unit has roomy 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and kitchen but it fit our family of four perfectly and did not feel tight. I highly recommend this unit and we will stay there again during our 3 year stay in Hungary. Thank you.

Great Location, But Noisy If You Turn In Early
This is a great place to stay, feels very safe, centrally located, close to bus lines, taxi stands, restaurants, and all that. Eva, our host, was simply wonderful. We did not anticipate the late-night noise, however, as only one review mentioned it as an annoyance. That might be because the nearby cafe and wine bar have recently expanded into a narrow alley right under the bedroom window. There are also a couple of younger tenants who liked to host late-night gatherings on the roof, over your head. Mind you, we were there in November, when the days are short and the weather is cool. Trastevere has been a hangout for international students for a long time. That’s where I hung out as a college student 40 years ago! If, like me, you’ve changed over time and prefer quieter places, this apartment might not be for you.
