"The hotel is on a side street off a large shopping street, but toward the end of that strip of stores. A couple blocks away things become more lively. We were glad for the quiet. The room was absolutely lovely with a spa-like bathroom, comfortable furniture, plentiful linens, tea and coffee makers. The food down at the bar was pricey and a little inconsistent, but generally good to terrific. We never had anything bad there. My one comment would be about the charming old staircase up to the...

"Really nice reception staff Impressive large industrial style lobby Good value proper breakfast Right next to John Lewis Own car park underneath - first come first served. Tired room - clean but needed a refurb. One of just 2 lift cars was out of order. Fire alarm went off twice - during the day luckily. "
