"Boutique hotel with a very lively bar area downstairs geared towards a younger crowd. We had a great room called the loft with sweeping views of the ocean and the iceberg pool! Private semi covered patio with lounge chairs that we used several times as it was too windy to go to the beach. Walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. "

"Great location. The whole ‘laid back’ approach is actually a bit annoying when you want to check in; find an umbrella; talk to someone. And they put a ‘cute’ sign on the desk saying ‘gone surfing back soon’. Seriously the rates you’re charging you need to up the service level!"

"Would definitely recommend the Lurline lovely staff always greeted with a smile. Very helpful when we needed to extend our stay due to Cyclone Alfred. Rooms more than adequate and very clean. Great location for transport and beautiful beaches. "

"I arrived 5 minutes late, just before the reception was about to close. However, the staff kindly waited for me and handled the check-in process very quickly. I really appreciate their patience and efficiency. Great service! The hotel was very clean, neat, and well-organized. I also loved the hotel’s design—it was stylish and comfortable. Overall, a great experience!"

"Mixed review on this one. It’s definitely just a pub with motel rooms. You can hear the pub entertainment from your room. The internet was decent. Checking in was difficult didn’t know where to go, then had to drag luggage up the stairs. The hallways etc were run down and smelly but the room was renovated. "

"The Blue has very limited services. Checked in via a code. I only saw someone at the desk twice in 5 days, basically no staff at all. The lift is extremely slow. They only offer weekly housekeeping. You get your towels and toiletries from numbered lockers in each floor. The internet is not fast, but usable. The main benefit of the hotel is the location: it's fantastic, 5 minutes away from Bondi Beach and you have restaurants and shops everywhere. If we wanted to come to the area again and...

"Short walk to the beach and restaurants. If you book a one bedroom apartament, which show accommodation for 3 people, they will put a rollaway bed in the living room which was a nuisance for us. The air coming out of AC had an unpleasant odour so had to open the balcony door which was not very eco friendly. Otherwise a decent stay. "
