"Really nice place! Remodeled a former motel and did a fantastic job! The attention to detail in the comfort of guests and style design is top notch! The lobby is quaint and comfortable. We met other couples, sat by fireplace and had a complimentary glass of wine. We didn’t get to experience the lounge downstairs because it wasn’t open on Mon-Th, but WOW! We would highly recommend staying here. Great for couples! "

"The Grand Residence is South Lake Tahoe was originally- a residence, where one could purchase 12 weeks or more at a time. Now it's a Marriott time share, and it's a block away from their other timeshare, Timber Lodge. The Grand Residence has a pool, hot tube, and a surprisingly good work out room, but it's not a resort with a bar, restaurant, or daily activities. It's quiet. no music at the pool. The location was conveniently located to where my son was playing baseball that weekend, at both North Tahoe Regional park and Incline Village. "

"The property is clean and located mere steps from the Palisades Tahoe village and the Tram building (and also close to the bottom of the WaSheShu lift I think). Convenient parking for one vehicle per room in the adjacent garage. Staff was friendly and helpful, though maybe a little slow on checking people in that night. Some parts of the property were undergoing renovation during my stay, so I gave the Property Condition only 4 out of five stars."

"My first review was very unfavorable as the room was not what I expected. After reading my review the hotel manager went out of his way to make the stay better. Some of the gestures were not necessary because acknowledgement and an apology would have gone a long way on its own. If staying in S Tahoe again I would stay at the Landings again as they do put customer service first. "
