Amazing place in the wonderful Umbria
I and my russian wife (42 and 33 years old) for a lucky opportunity had the pleasure to spend a week in this place. We couldn't find much about it on internet 'cause it started this activity right now, so it was a bet.. but once got in we realized how huge, cool and tasteful it's this "rural" house. The building is pretty big, high ceilings, original wood and stones everywhere give you the sense of the history that was centuries ago in perfect harmony with the new interiors, a mix of rural and modern style which I found of a great choice: the beautiful old ladder for hanging the towels in the bathroom, old boxes for the olive harvest transformed in stylish bookshelves, the fireplace, vintage abat-jours and a spectacular living room with a kingsize sofa on which we could relax in the night watching movies on a good 40" flat screen. From all the windows light, sunflower fields and beautiful landscapes, including a private forest, very nice for a morning walk. Despite the big space everything was very clean. this was my main concern since I am allergic to dust, but I didn't sneeze once.
The location was strategic for reaching many enchanted places. We discovered that all the region consists of meioeval town and cities tidy, full of flowers (every house proudly hangs cascades of flowers from its balcony), peacefully immersed in the nature and kept in such well conditions like nothing changed since the Xiii century..really amazing!! We liked more the tiny Doglio, few houses indeed, so cute and beautiful (10 mins by bicyle), Todi which is right in front of the house, the breathtaking assisi and Spello, famous for the flower festival. We also bought black truffles, a specialty of the region, which we then were cooking almost every day at home with pasta..I couldn't believe they were so cheap..guys this is the truffle paradise!!
We keep very warm memories of this week and we defenitively recommend this house. Thumbs up!
