"Its proximity to the ropeway was the biggest catch. They have a true onsen but sadly people are naked and don’t wear clothing and modesty is not followed . The staff are great and speak good English. The breakfast is generous but doesn’t quite fit the foreign pallet . Recommendation is that enjoy the delicious bakery items in the ropeway eateries ."

Not close enough to Omachi City to be walkable to other restaurants. We will definitely stay again in the spring, as it is also on a golf course. "

"Lovely attentive staff, delightful traditional Japanese rooms. Great views and Onsen, close to the bus for Alpine route, though not much else nearby in terms of shops or eating. We would happily return. Only improvement point suggested is that we could not contact the hotel in advance by email, web form or expedia to find out if dinner was available - we got no reply. "The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Ibsen was well equipped and clean. I liked the indoor and outdoor options. Food was amazing. I would recommend adding the half board to your reservation. Transportation to station and ski resort was seamless. "

"Hotel location is great and staff are trying to be nice. Hotel did not have ski locker as advertised (problem as we went with ski gear which had to freeze in the car overnight). Outside Onsen was closed (so forget that nice picture). Room was not cleaned every two days as supposed to be and towels were not refreshed. Restaurant was fine but only 2 meals available, if you stay more than 2 days you will eat the same thing over and over. Not a bad hotel, just a few improvement things that...

"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

"We are the repeaters. This the rare co-ed onsen which allows you to go in with your friends and family. The onsen was filled with milky warm water so that you can stay in long hours and enjoy other people's company. Very relaxing environment surrounded by mountains. The food was omakase and very good. We enjoyed all of the local cuisine items with great beer and sake. "

"We really loved this hotel because it was so close to the bus station and the view outside was so beautiful. They have onsen, that we were able to relax after our full day of hiking. Japanese breakfast was good. And the staffs are so friendly. "

"Owner was very kind and prepared very good dinner even we requested in very late time. It is Japanese style room, so if you are not used to futon it might be hard. Room is very spacious and confortable. Shower is in common place, next to onsen. It is also convenient that there is also an small drugstore to buy some snacks or drinks"
