Classic Lodges in Trans Pennine Trail from NZ$130

"I was using the Ox Hotel Manchester as a base for attending a conference (in a venue just 5 mins walk away so that was very helpful). Rooms are basic but very clean. Good shower, comfy bed. The room had plenty of plug sockets and lighting options. The stairwells give away that this building was not originally designed as a hotel. They are tired and dated but still clean. Three lifts all working. Never had to wait long and my room was on the top (14th floor). Slightly weird arrangement with the lifts is that on most floors, even when using a lift there are still stairs to negotiate. I think I did spot a stair lift on one of the floors though. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. A very good selection and all the food was fresh and tasty. Can't fault it. Brilliant choice. "
