"Lovely stay overall, the staff was excellent, breakfast options were plenty. Awesome location within walking distance of major sights and the central market was around the corner. Our bathroom set up wasn't ideal, with only a rainfall showerhead and a very low sink with a faucet that made it difficult to wash my face at night, but they did provide washcloths, which was great. I'd stay at this property again. "

"The Hotel Calimala is certainly a "boutique hotel"! My wife was in awe with the room and the view of Florence. The hotel is located in the perfect walking location to everything you will want to see in Florence and is filled with the most helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay, our room, and the kindness and helpfulness of all of the Hotel Calimala personnel!! Clean, Safe, walking distance to so many of the sights, just around the corner from the multitude of shops. Perfect!!"

"The hotel is clean, cozy, and in an historical building. Location is great and close to train station and centre. Staff are friendly. The hotel is generous, they give 1 bottle of still water and 1 sparkling for each person. Breakfast is fabulous with many selections. Wall is thin and you can hear people talk next door. Heater is luke warm so I had to use AC, and AC has noise when operating. But these are not problem, given bed is so comfortable and quilt is warm, so I felt asleep quickly. Overall, given its unbeatable winter price and the services received, I give the hotel 9.5/10 and would like to thank for their hospitality. "

"Clean, updated, close to the train station and great breakfast. Perfect for a few nights. Street is a little busy and loud, so I wouldn’t necessarily wanna stay there more than a few nights."

"We had a wonderful stay ! Even though our stay was cut short due to delayed incoming flight to florence , we were greeted very nicely by the hotel staff. The hotel itself has beautiful decor - both lobby and the rooms we were offered. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence and would love to stay again."
