"Quiet room, spacious. Staff was very nice especially the gentleman on duty at night, very knowledgeable about the history of the city. Breakfast is excellent with excellent products (local "charcuterie" and cheese). A little far from downtown (1o min walk) but not that bad. Old building well maintained and the room I had was very comfortable."

"A lovely place with a welcoming and helpful host who lives on site. Rouen is easily accessed with frequent buses. The place is secure and quiet (The church next door only rang its bells on Sunday) with a very pretty garden. The garden can only be accessed up a flight of steps outside so not accessible for all. Everything was as described, although the Internet is not fast. We had a great stay at Janine’s place exploring Rouen and the surrounding area."

"We arrived at the hotel hot and tired. to find it was closed. We had no prior warning, only a notice on the door giving a telephone number. We called this number and were diverted to another hotel, the Beausejour, ten minutes walk away. The room here was shabby with no wifi and no breakfast available."

"We looked forward to staying at the Oscar. Upon arrival no one at reception and no instructions about what to do. I located the telephone number on Hotels.com and spoke with someone who gave me the entry code and then sent a text with information. The room was in need of paint and a deep cleaning. Breakfast was an insult, a few pieces of bread, orange juice and coffee and very rude help. No butter, jam, fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc. unlike a normal petit déjeuner in any hotel. There was never...
