"Just stayed here for 3 nights and my fiancé and I absolutely loved the hotel! It was super spacious, with the bathroom seperate from the bedroom completely. Staff was so kind, and we had a water dispenser right outside our door that we loved. Honestly, the weather wasn’t great so we spent a lot of time in the room and loved it! "

"Le Royal was absolute perfection for our stay in Nice! We enjoyed our terrace and being on the Promenade. The room was large and comfortable, as well as the bath. Aline @ front desk was exceptional, even getting us a fan for the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Nice. It was beautiful, quiet, very comfortable, and a wonderful location. "The location on the Promenade des Anglais is superb with easy access to all the city's wonderful attractions on foot (or by bus from the nearby "Promenade Congrès stop). My room on the 5th floor with a double balcony (albeit that at times it seemed just a wide ledge !) had sweeping and uninterrupted views of the Baie des Anges - perfect for watching the impressive firework display at the close of the Nice Carnaval. The room was spacious but could have had a more Mediterranean "feel" without the brown and beige colour scheme ! Excellent quality bed linen. It's a pity that there was no chest of drawers which the room could easily accommodate for guests staying more than a few nights. It also needs proper bedside tables but that was impossible with the placement of the bed. The kettle was poorly located within a cupboard where one also had to store clothes. The bathroom was large but the brown marble - everywhere - was personally unappealing. Surprisingly, the shower within the bath had no screen or waterproof curtain which meant that water was sprayed beyond the bath. The basin - of two - which I used had a deficient plug plunger which meant the water was not retained in the basin. The latter issue being a reason for marking the hotel down on its sustainability / eco rating. Breakfast was well presented with a good choice of hot and cold food. Staff were faultless - friendly, helpful and professional. Despite the few niggles I had, I would be very happy to stay again. "

"A nice hotel that I would definitely stay at again. Breakfast was included and excellent. Grounds were clean and attractive, outdooor pool has fabulous views but did get busy. Our room had a double bed and two bunks beds in another room. Plenty of European plugs to charge things up. Lovely outdoor sitting area. A/c was fixed at 24 deg C however so opening the patio doors at night (which have a screen you can wheel closed) was required for nighttime comfort. Shower was small by North American standards - I could only just fit my elbows outstretched against bunched fists all around without hitting the sides but it was pretty snug. There was a tv but we didn’t use it, decent cell service and good WiFi in the room."
