"I would recommend staying somewhere else. Bugs everywhere in the room, especially when it was night. I stayed in room 10 which sits in the sun all day. There are no blackout curtains for all the windows so the room gets very warm. The water from the sink tasted like dirt. But worst of all, The husband that runs the motel is a rude and impatient human being. Stay somewhere else."

"This place is immaculate. It is easy to feel ‘at home’ straight away. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were very helpful. Close to town and also to the lake. Waihi beach less than 10 minutes away and others not much further. The Hauraki Rail Trail so close. It was quiet and all in all, a great place to stay."

The only downside this stay was when I went to the reception to ask for washing powder for the laundry I wasn't told there was a $2 charge which I would happily paid, but the day after checkout I found we were charged on our credit card.
