Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa

4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (385)
"According to the neighbor and the staffs, they opened April 2024 from previous old hotel with minor renovation. Very beautiful location and spacious property, but unfortunately the place needs improvement. 1 The carpet, specially, spa area smells as fungus. 2 So many steps are very dangerous for all people. For example, inside room bath have to step up around 10 inches, and public spa entrance also has big step when we enter. If the hotel in US, it will be not pass safety reason and ADA. No...

Wanderlust Inn

3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (16)
"The location of the hotel is amazing, you cannot be closer to the Great Buddha, it is also a good experience to sleep in an old Japanese room. That said, you then understand why old Japanese houses are not worth much and Japanese people tend to prefer living in some modern less exotic dwellings. Indeed you can hear everything that happens in and outside of the house. I visited while the weather was really good (around 20 degrees) so I did not use the AC neither for heating nor for cooling but I...

Villa Sacra

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (14)
"I once stayed in a traditional Japanese hotel. but this feels more like a hostel. The rooms are very small and so is the shared spaces. This place is good for solo travel or a quick night stay. The things I enjoyed the most was the comfortable mattresses and the ability to drop my luggage off in the morning. "

La Vista Kannonzaki Terrace

4.0 star property

"Great seaside resort. Spacious room, good view of the ocean. The private baths were simply divine, perfect way to relax and unwind. Complimentary beer/water/snacks in the room, ice cream after your private bath. The staff were great even with the language barrier they made sure you understood where your room was and where things are on a map. There is parking in front of the hotel but we arrived via taxi, approximately a 5000 yen fare from the Coaska Bayside Stores depending on time of day."

Guesthouse irodori Kamakura

2.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (80)
"I love staying in more traditional lodging when visiting Japan, and Irodori was what I was looking for. The host, Bushi, is a kind genuine person with a passion for his town and community and the sincerity and generosity of his character made my time in Kamakura much better, so thank you Bushi. The upstairs room was small and cozy, the space in the guesthouse can be narrow and cluttered, so if you are used to large hotels this is not it. I met very fun/kind travelers there, especially while...
