"The hotel was a beautiful old restored house. There wasn’t a lot of storage space in the room for belongings, and the en-suite was cosy. A good shower. Good breakfast, The hosts were very friendly, and helpful about things to do in the area. "

"Great location and lovely flat. Pros: It was easy to get to and communication with host was good. Close to everything including good food! The main bed is very comfortable It was very cold out but heating lovely. The bath/shower was nice and roomy with good pressure and hot water. We weren’t able to get washer/ dryer to turn on despite instructions and the internet was spotty. The only real con was the pull out bed was not at all comfortable and It would have been helpful if the flat was...

"The property was in a quiet area close to all the places we wanted to go and with a wonderful park nearby. The staff were amazing and able to help with all our needs. The only issue I had was the worn furniture and the scratches on the wood floors. "

"Not the hotel's fault but there are major roadworks outside at the moment and the road was gridlocked & noisy. Apart from that the lift system was 'quirky' with one list out of order for much of the time. Other than that we had a good time, the hotel is very well placed between the Royal Mile and Princes St. Excellent buffet style breakfast with a very full range of options."

"The Ben Doran is a 300 year old mansion converted to a hotel. The ceilings are like 16 feet tall. The walls are really thick. So it is really quiet. The owners and personnel are so nice and friendly. Odette is a sweetheart. The location is awesome. You can walk if you want or take a bus from close by or uber. Loved our stay!!"
