"I booked because I had an early flight and in contrast with other hotels around this one has an indoor pool, however, the pool was full of children in a class so not a lot of chance to relaxed quietly there. The royal mile with all the shops and restaurants was literally a 3 minute walk. Arthur’s Seat trail was only 15 minute walk. Shopping district a 10 minute walk. What the Expedia listing does not say and their own website does is that there is live music every weekend, which can be loud enough even on the 2nd floor of rooms that sleeping might be difficult. Also, the parking area has only six spots for the 12 rooms at the hotel, so it’s not guaranteed that you would be able to park in their car park (5 pounds/day charge). "
