"We booked the Paddocks which had a self contained very well equipped kitchen in an enclosed courtyard It provided a very comfortable overnight stay. We couldnt fault it. We arrived early as we had booked Sunday lunch at the George which was excellant and Wayne allowed us to leave our car there. Wayne was very friendly and not intrusive at all. "This place is very welcoming and efficient. The staff can't do enough for you. The food is excellent, but unfortunately, we were only able to eat there on our first night. We wanted to do so again, but they don't cook on Bank Holidays. We weren't told this in advance, which is the only slight negative about our stay. . "

"If you like old and quirky then this place is ideal! Yes it’s a little tired and could do with a little tlc in places but the bed was comfortable (which for me is a huge plus). It’s in a very convenient location for walking around town. Plenty of cafes etc nearby as well as Sainsbury’s and Co-Op. "

"Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty...

"Dont usually leave reviews but felt I had to,because this place is just so lovely.Lizzy is so wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, she even offered to pick us up if we needed a lift from a nearby restaurant.Her breakfasts are gorgeous especially her homemade muffins and jam. We were sorry we couldnt meet Steve who unfortunately had hurt his back. Would highly recommend if you want a lovely quiet break "

"Good night sleep. Bed was comfortable however sides of bed were slightly uncomfortable kept feeling like was going to fall off. Service was great, room was quiet and they have TVs with YouTube and Netflix on, did not have breakfast it would come to this hotel again. Shower was big but door fell off. Managed to fix it, water pressure and temperature could be better. Was lovely and warm In the room and had loads of towels. "
